Most Stylish of the Week: Daniel Radcliffe's Quadruple Hit

MSOTW8Sept

This is probably the best time of the year for celebrity style. Everyone's going back to school work and that means a load of premieres and fashion week just before we head into award season.
Daniel Radcliffe has had a brilliant last few days at the Venice Film Festival. The actor looked incredibly sharp in his David Heart blue blazer and black trousers, which he paired with a white striped shirt, black tie and topped off with a killer pair of George Cleverley double monk-strap shoes. He continued his spot-on style choices with a double-chested blue ASOS blazer worn with Band of Outsiders orange chinos and Del Toro shoes. Later that day he changed into a more fashion-forward look with a light blue Club Monaco blazer, white shirt and camo trousers and a Band of Outsiders tie. A few days later he was spotted in Toronto attending the premiere of 'Horns' in a Band of Outsiders black suit paired with a bi-colour Kenzo shirt and Christian Louboutin shoes. It really makes me happy to see shorter dudes understanding what works on them and giving tall hunky actors a run for their money.
It was about time for Eddie Redmayne to have a come-back after his epic 'Les Mis' press tour. The actor chose a stunning Prince of Wales checked Gucci suit to attend the GQ Awards. He let the suit be the protagonist pairing it with a classic white shirt, a micro-print tie, plain white pocket square and classic black Oxford shoes.
Nick Wooster is one of my personal all-time favourite style icons. The fashion director has recently gone for a much shorter hairstyle which makes him look even more badass and he was spotted during one of the kick-off events of NYFW rocking the short suit pants, which he wore with a brilliant printed blazer and white brogues.
Also at NYFW some stylish dudes made their way to the Richard Chai show decked down in his latest collection. Nick Jonas looked effortlessly cool in his double-chested deep green suit, dressed down with a black tee underneath and some questionable yet interesting lace-up leather sneakers. Colton Haynes went for a bigger tailoring statement in a bold checked suit, green shirt and tan leather double monk-straps.

Kenzo x Vans Spring/Summer 2013

_4iclv on Make A Gif, Animated Gifs

Earlier this week Kenzo launched their 4th sneaker in collaboration with Vans for Spring/Summer 2013. You know I have been a great fan since their first ever collection almost a year ago. My SS12 Kenzo x Vans proved to be amazing quality and an injection of fun to any outfit. After making a mistake in size with my desired FW12 pair and missing out on the whole line I feel like I should treat myself to one of the new models.
The new collection – Tiger Fever – is all about slightly abstract 'cloudy' leopard print. And for the first time the collaboration offers not only the Vans Authentic but the classic slip-on model too. I'm more of a lace-up fan myself and, after much consideration, I will be going for the orange and green model – my two favourite colours. Keep an eye out, the SS13 collection will be dropping any moment on Kenzo.com!

Most Stylish of the Week: The Importance of Being Well Tailored

MSOTW26Oct JustJared, Style.com

It has been a great week for men's style! The highlight of the week, of course, has to be Daniel Craig decked up in Gucci giving yet another lesson on how men should have their suits cut. For the London premiere of 'Skyfall' Craig went for a classic combo but he spiced it up with a midnight blue tux jacket that made all the difference. Black and blue are a powerful weapon when it comes to evening wear.
Alan Cumming, who we can see every week looking mighty sharp on 'The Good Wife', attended the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M party in New York in a total look from the designer collaboration. The camel 3-piece suit is one of my favourites from the collection and I'm happy to see Alan kept things interesting with the faux fur coat and cream slip-on shoes also from the line.
This week Robert Pattinson finally started his press tour for the last instalment of the Twilight Saga. Instead of some of the more classic combinations we've seen him in in the past R Patz went for a head-to-toe Kenzo look, which made me very happy. I love the deep olive green shade of the suit, the Doc Martens style shoes and, above all, the amazing printed shirt. Hopefully, there is more and better to come.
Austin Butler, who is currently promoting 'The Carrie Diaries', is one of the few young Hollywood guys who understands the importance of a good suit and an even better haircut. The burgundy bowtie makes his look and the slicked back if messy hairdo tops it all off. Always invest in a good haircut!

Kenzo x Vans FW12: Get excited!

I have probably worn my Kenzo x Vans mesh-printed Eras shoes 5/7 days a week since I bought them back in May. I don't remember being that excited over a particular item since I bought my Gant Rugger tweed blazer last year. And it seems like the excitement is about to continue. Kenzo and Vans have released their new FW12 collection styles set to hit stores with a "limited release" this month.
If I had a tough time choosing my favourite model last season, it's only got harder this time around. They have gone for 2 different prints – stripes and florals – in 3 different colour combinations. Even though I love the candy shop vibe of the stripes I feel more inclined towards the florals, which is something I can't say you'd find much in my wardrobe. I love the yellow and navy but knowing myself I will probably not wear them as much in the winter. So, as of today, I have my sights set on the burgundy and navy floral paid. A nice bit of texture and intense colour to my winter ensembles. They would look awesome with my tweet trousers, as a matter of fact.

Head over to Hypebeast to see the 6 models without getting a nosebleed. They will also retail at about €90 a pair.

Just in: Vans x Kenzo

I received these bad boys yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I usually miss out on these amazing collaborations because either my size sells out too quickly or I'm too out of pocket to afford them – why is it always at the end of the month before pay day?
Anyway, the Vans x Kenzo are tad comfier than your standard Vans. The sole is a bit more consistent and it's evident that all the stitching is a lot stronger. So if you were hesitating, rest assured the difference in price is justified.
I went for the green because, despite being my favourite colour – can you tell? – I don't seem to have any green shoes. I have already worn them and I'm pretty certain I have chosen the right colour, they just look so cool. Although after watching this video on the Kenzo site I am more than tempted to also go for the nude version... In June, though.

Thoughts?

The Kenzo x Vans Collaboration

It gets a lot for me to actually want to buy into designer collaborations these days. Every year there's more and more of them so it's got to the point where we have to be really selective.
The Kenzo x Vans one is the first one from 2012 that has given me that feeling of excitement where I almost get upset when I imagine I can't get a pair...! Fortunately, they are not on sale yet so I can prepare and, most importantly, choose the colour combination I like the best.
All the promotional pictures from Kenzo show bicolour pairs (see above) but it looks like the ones that will end up in shops might end up being even more commercial as you can see from the ones below at the Black Frame Press Day this week in London. I am most tempted by the red and green version. And it looks like they're going to be quite affordable – they're not expected to go much higher than £100.
