Shopping for Spring Knits at Mr Porter

MrPknits

After these two weeks of crazy cold, during which I've enjoyed wearing my new shearling jacket, it's time to start planning the new purchases for the Spring wardrobe. Despite my best efforts, I didn't manage to get many new jumpers this winter, so I need a few new ones now.
I wear my leather jacket pretty much everyday in the Spring so I like mixing things up with cotton knitwear and lightweight scarves. I am loving all the texture Mr Porter is offering this week – subtle colours and a quiet graphicness.

Just in: My Buys from the Mr Porter Sale

MrPsales
The morning of the 30th of December was almost more exciting for me than Christmas Day's. The first thought to come to my mind as I woke up was that the Mr Porter sale was on! After (quickly) decided which items were my priority I decided to void the shoe section because, let's face it, I have more shoes than anything else. So I tried to pick classic items that would go well through the seasons.
I first indulged with one of my favourite buys of the season – the Jil Sander dinosaur tie I have been raving about for a while. With this out of the way I could focus better. Second on my list was the YMC jersey jumper with an inside out effect I love. And lastly, as I have been looking for the perfect pair of khaki trousers for months I went for these NN.07 trousers that have a great fit.

The Mr Porter Sale is still on – check its amazingness here!

Wardrobe Staples, Jewellery & Chace Crawford this week at Mr Porter

Mrp5Dec

If you put together all of this week's additions on Mr Porter you would have quite a complete selection of wardrobe staples that will work with your seasonal pieces year on year. It also included a pretty remarkable selection of what I call man-jewells. I'm not a flashy person so I've always struggled with certain menswear accesory trends over the years. However, these Foundwell pieces have an element of distinction while still being masculine and timeless. They also have a touch of vintage and a certain 20's art deco vibe, which I love.
It's also about this time of the year when I add new pieces to my denim collection. I take my jeans very seriously because I wear denim every day so I need excellent quality and a great fit. Nudie is, together with Acne, my favourite brand and also I love the classic look and finish of these black Margiela ones.
You can click on the links below the image to shop all the items.

This week Mr P also released their latest issue of the journal, featuring a story with Chace Crawford – the jock turned businessman Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl. I love the entire shoot and the styling, which is all about velvet, my favourite texture for the holidays. You can see and shop the whole story here.

Frank Loves: Brioni's Exclusive Tuxedo for Mr Porter

Brioni exclusive tux MRPORTER

Ever since I saw Daniel Craig in the stunning midnight blue tux with black lapels he wore to the London premiere of 'Skyfall' I have been totally infatuated. So you can imagine the sheer happiness this news from Mr Porter have brought me this week. They have teamed up with Brioni, who have created this beautiful number exclusively for Mr P. It includes a one-button tuxedo jacket with twin peak lapels and matching trousers, a pale blue evening shirt with covered buttons and double cuff, a bow tie in silk twill, and a pleated cummerbund in silk twill.

All the pieces are available at Mr Porter from yesterday, so get on the case!
