He's Fly: Orlando Bloom in Balenciaga
One would think that the best thing about dating a model is that, actually dating a woman who is considered more beautiful than the rest. However, I'd say that the best part about it is, in fact, all the good things that come with her lifestyle. You get flown in to parties and events, even fashion shows. Such is the life of Orlando Bloom. In his case, you need to add his own celebrity to the equation. He was recently invited to sit first row at the Balenciaga SS11 catwalk show which her (pregnant) wife was walking. He was appropriately suited up for the occasion in an all-Balenciaga outfit from the FW10 collection. My favourite pieces were the awesome shearling jacket and leather sneakers that added the perfect sportswear touch to a classic smart look.

H&M must-haves for fw10
It's kind of great that retailers like H&M make videos of their more iconic pieces for the season so we get to have a look before they hit the stores. I already bought some FW10 items at H&M a couple of weeks ago but all the 'hardcore' pieces, as I like to refer to them, were not in store yet. I had never thought about man capes until I watched this video and I am not very seriously considering getting one. It is a tricky piece to add to a man's wardrobe (especially if you haven't been blessed with height like me) but it's worth at least a go. My other two favourites for the upcoming season are the snoods, which got big last year. I've been wearing them most of my life but I love that they've become a trend for a couple of seasons so I can stock up for the future. My second obsession are suits. I believe it is the Mad Men inside me talking but I do. Especially with cropped trousers and ankle boots and with the blazer working more as a coat than a jacket.

dilemma
For the first time in all my years I can't decide whether I want to have a little more of summer wear or whether I want to move onto winter and start wearing cozy jumpers and earthy-coloured blazers. It's FW10 collections like the DAY Birger et Mikkelson one that make me lean a little towards option number two. I need that 3-piece suits, the amazing shoes and anything that looks like denim but isn't. Alas, they don't have a London store yet but we'll soon be able to get a hold of their stuff online.

Ad me up
I've never really got why people complain so much about ads on magazines. Personally, I love them because they get me in the mood of the issue of the magazine I'm reading. And I love menswear adverts even more because they usually heavily detailed as they are selling a very concise lifestyle to a very specific kind of man. I always love Dolce & Gabbana's because they're mostly shot by Steven Klein but I am so keen on the FW10 campaign because it carries on with the 1940's Naples theme of their collection and because it lacks that sexually ambiguous note that I don't dislike but that's refreshing. Ralph Lauren and Filippa K are always classic and yet you always find yourself wanting to be one of the guys in the advert. And Z Zegna has delivered a very different looking campaign that links to the innovation going on in their collections.
