Leonardo DiCaprio wears Bottega Veneta's Intrecciato slip-ons

LeoBottega

Earlier today Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted arriving in Narita, Japan wearing a pair of blue Bottega Veneta Intrecciato suede slip-on shoes. I am taking this as a sign. I recently ask you to help me solve my birthday dilemma and vote for the pair of shoes I should get for my birthday. Taking your votes into consideration and this (god-sent) sign it seems pretty clear that I should go for the lace-up Bottega option.
Leo chose the blue slip-on model for a chic monochromatic look but the same shoes are already available online not only in the same colour but also in a cheerful light green and in grey.

The Birthday Dilemma: Vol. 2

BottegaValentinosneakers
As you might know already – how could you not when I've mentioned it on almost every post – I am turning 25 in little over a month, the 21st of March to be exact. As I do every year, I start putting together a wish list of items I would like to get (or be given). And I feel like turning a quarter of a century not only justifies this obsessive habit but it calls for a special selection.
I have blogged about the Valentino camo sneakers quite a few times over the last few months and they are finally available online here and here. After much thinking I had decided to go for this chicer darker model. It's subtle and timeless and, hell, I can ever wear them to the gym. However, I made the mistake of checking out the rest of the SS13 arrivals at Matches driven, mostly, by the fact that I recently bought two new pairs of sneakers. And I found the most amazing pair of Bottega Veneta intrecciato suede trainers in a beige colour perfect for spring. This has put me in the same situation I was last year, when I couldn't decide which pair to go for.

And so I have decided to ask you, fellow style seekers, to help me make up my mind. Please vote on the box below for the pair you think I should get.

Clever adds to the summer wardrobe

Every August I'm faced with the same dilemma of whether to buy summer items for sale or save my money to start gearing up for the autumn. Having a look at the designer clothes on sale there seem to be a bunch of things that aren't necessarily seasonal and that we can wear now but also into next season. Jumpers and long-sleeved shirts are obvious choices but things like suits or blazers might seem trickier. A blazer works amazingly over a t-shirt with rolled-up sleeves but they can also be winter jackets over a jumper. A suit with shorts is a very clever choice as you can wear both pieces together or separately and still use the jacket in the winter. Suede accessories are also useful picks because they look chic in the summer and cozy in the winter. Do remember to buy season-less colours, though. And, finally, canvas bags can be worn all year around, so they're worth investing on. I have last year's design of the YSL bag (which looks better than the new one and explains the ridiculous price of the latter) and I use it to go to class, work, travel and go to the pool.
