The Best 8 Printed Shirts to Wear this Summer

BestPrintedShirtsSS14

Even though we don't seem to be enjoying much of a spring – in London anyway – I have a feeling that summer is creeping up on us and trying to catch us off guard... I am not the greatest fan of summer wear for men because it leaves very little room to change things up day to day. Luckily, the last couple of seasons have seen the rise of the short-sleeved shirt, which has come back to be cool. Particularly this season, they come in all colours, collar styles and prints. And it's the latter than I am crazy about. A shirt always looks better than a tee or a polo and when they're as fun as these, they become the perfect addition to classic denim shorts. You can easily dress them up or down and they guarantee a lack of boredom in your summer wardrobe. These above, are my favourite 8 picks.

A closer look at Burberry Prorsum SS13

DSC_0058 While I was in Milan for the SS13 menswear shows the Burberry team were kind enough to have me over at their showroom to take a closer look at the collection I had seen on the runway the day before – see the full post here.

I was so happy to see my favourite pieces up close. The khaki and lilac satin jacket looked even more spectacular in the showroom. This is key item number 1 on my wishlist for SS13.
I was glad to find extra pieces such as scarves, swimsuits and ties featuring all the brilliantly cool prints shown on the catwalk. The shorts below and the full collection of ties are definitely a must-have! I must say that even though I have never been a big fan of colourful frames on sunglasses these Burberry metallic shades look great on. They are super light and slick – I have my eyes on the green ones!
As usual, the tailoring looked impeccable. My personal favourite was a subtle seersucker suit, which is perfect for the summer because it adds texture but it's super light and fresh.

You can watch the whole Burberry Prorsum SS13 show here.

  Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and a good start to 2012. Now that we're done with Christmas wish lists it's time to start getting ready for the new season. One must never waste time with fashion. So I have decided to make a start for SS12 compiling all my favourite items –the ones that will make a difference.
At the top of my list is Luke Edward Hall, a London-based menswear designer you must add to your list of ones to watch. His tropical print shirt, available at Fox & Flyte (of which he is co-founder), is my latest obsession. The fabric, a limited edition printed semi-sheer cotton, features a bird and fruit design over a duck egg blue background as well as a contrast back collar. I can easily picture myself wearing it to attend Milan Fashion Week paired with a short trouser suit from, say, the Hardy Amies SS12 collection.

Make sure to follow Luke's blog, where he shares what inspires him as well as his enviably chic getaways. If you are a fan of the finer things in life and you have a nostalgic soul you will be hooked.
