How to Play with Texture, by Logan Lerman

LoganlermanTexture

Ever since I first posted about him almost a year ago Logan Lerman has quickly become a regular on the Most Stylish of the Week posts. Last week, at a Q&A for his latest film 'Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters', Logan went for a subtle look, which was actually a great combination of textures. A grey chambray button-down shirt is always a great choice when going for a feel between smart and casual. He paired the shirt with a khaki knit tie, which made the whole look feel quite muted and grown up – it's thanks to Logan's signature undone tie that it also feels relaxed and young.
Since I am not a huge fan of dark-on-dark colour combinations in my outfits, I would do Logan's texture play with a lighter shade of grey chambray shirt like this one from Levi's and perhaps a charcoal knit tie such as this one from Richard James.

How to Wear the White Suit, Inspired by Bradley Cooper

whitesuit

I have always had an allergy of sorts to all-white clothing. I hardly ever wear white jeans or chinos and I've never put on a white blazer or jacket because this seemingly common colour can make a bigger statement than any bold hue. It is also incredibly unforgiving – if not beautifully cut, washed, ironed and fit it will only enhance everything you would like to conceal. Not to mention very few men could pull it off even with all of the above ticked.
Even though Bradley Cooper isn't exactly an every-day man – as much as I'd like to I can't quite relate to him – his latest red carpet offering in a full white suit with cuffed trousers worn with classic blue notes and leather shoes has awaken something in me to make me dare and try this look. The first step is to find a slim-fitted suit (baggy white clothes read retired holidaymaker). Keep the lines very simple and avoid any fussy detailing and pair them up with classic pieces put together in a modern way.
Of the options available online I feel most inclined to try the more casual takes as proposed by ASOS or Valentino, which I would wear with any of the pieces below.

Men's British Designers Collective launches at Bicester Village

Las week I attended the opening of the Men's British Designers Collective at Bicester Village. We took a train from London Oxfordshire-bound where we enjoyed the delicious on-the-go picnic that Bistrotheque had prepared for us, hampers and all.
I had never been to Bicester before but was pleasantly surprised. It's a perfect place to spend a day with some friends. If the weather is favourable you can enjoy a snack by Jamie Oliver or have a break from the amazingly discounted designer shops at Starbucks.

I didn't take too many pictures myself but I did find these of me snapped for Twitter. I wore my favourite dark blue Acne jeans, a grey +J cashmere jumper, ASOS Camo jacket, All Saints leather jacket and Grenson brogues. I was very much flattered when someone from Grenson asked if they could take my picture!

Some of the incredible selection of Grenson shoes you shouldn't miss – I got a pair myself for a portion of the regular price. Nothing better to make my day!

I discovered at Bicester a new swimwear brand I am crazy about. Chucs has all the great prints and contemporary cuts you need for the summer. Very much in line with Orlebar Brown, my new favourite swimwear brand.
I also fell in love with these Richard James polka dot shirts. The round collar and light fabric makes them perfect for the summer. I couldn't find one in my size but I would have love to wear them with chinos and a denim jacket. A leopard print pair of Lou Dalton shorts also created some infatuation but I don't know I have the guts to wear those yet.
