Last night, the best of the best form British Fashion donned their Sunday best to attend this year's edition of the British Fashion Awards. I was very happy to find out that some of my favourites – Burberry, Christopher Bailey, Agi & Sam, JW Anderson, had won very well-derserved awards.
To me, these type of fashion events are the perfect occasions to fashion fans and insiders to be have a bit more fun but perhaps because we're in December and it's freezing in London no one was too in the mood for this. My favourite looks of the evening were as follows.
Oliver Cheshire, a fashion scene regular, went for a shawl collar tuxedo jacket, which looked very interesting with the angular lines of his waistcoat – all by Marks & Spencer. The proportions were perfect and the hair, as usual, very cool. Harry Styles, who won British Style Icon, looked like a rockstar in a head-to-toe Saint Laurent look with a bit of sheer action happening on the shirt. It's a look we've seen before, especially on him, but it works so why not? Tinie Tempah is always one of my favourites any any kind of event. This time, the rapper wore a charcoal velvet jacket with slightly cropped black trousers and a classic b&w combination of shirt and bow tie, all by Burberry. He finished off the look with a pair of patent leather Jimmy Choo 'Mayfair' Derby shoes.

Shopping for DB's and Turtle Necks

CashChequeLoanTurtleeck

I recently got a bit told off by a friend of mine who said I don't always blog about the most affordable fashion. I will not disagree but, truth to be told, I started off Fashion, Frankly as a reflexion of my style aspirations. That being said, I will try to at least give you all a few more different price options from now on.
I have always been a huge fan of turtle-neck jumpers but up it hasn't been until recently that they have been rid of their stigma of being for the 'mature' thanks to the young stylish celebrities who have been wearing them. Guys like Zayn Malik, Oliver Cheshire or Jack Guinness have give back rollernecks their deserved spot in the evening-wear department. They have become quite the hit paired with double-chested blazers, which also help to add colour and sharper lines to the look. These below are some of my favourite options. And to kick off my new democratic fashion endeavour I have selected choices for every budget.

Dolce & Gabbana unveils their Christmas Tree Design for Claridge's Hotel

Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of spending the evening at  Claridge's – my favourite London hotel – to celebrate the unveiling of this year's Christmas tree designed by Dolce & Gabbana. As you might expect, this is no ordinary tree. The two designers brought the flavour of their native Sicily using 450 hand-painted Italian baubles depicting images of the sun, citrus groves, almond blossom and prickly pears. The base stood out particularly thanks to the 30 hand-crafted Sicilian Pupi of Medieval inspiration. Colour was obviously the other big focus of the design, especially greens, red, yellows and blues, which finished off the beautiful tree that will stand at Claridge's foyer for the holidays.
Dolce & Gabbana always bring out the coolest guests in town and this was no exception. Stefano Gabbana looked so happy as he greeted muse David Gandy, Heva Herzigova, icon Joan Collins and heartthrobs Thom Evans and Oliver Cheshire – all very appropriately outfitted in their best attire by the designers.
I had the best time walking around the stunning building and enjoying the Christmas vibe (and the awesome nibbles) while the super stylish guests chatted away. Make sure you stop by Claridge's this Christmas!
