Tod's No_Code Spring/Summer 2013

NoCodeSS13a

This week Tod's is presenting the SS13 collection of my favourite line No_Code, which the brand has been creating for the last three seasons in collaboration with Jefferson Hack.
What I love about the new models is how classically British they are in their shapes – Oxford shoes, Chelsea and desert boots – but how they've been updated with new materials, colours and finishes to also be very modern, very East London. These, I suppose, is Jefferson's expertise: to bring together tradition and a contemporary style with a British flair. I can definitely see all the cool boys of Shoreditch walking around these in London.
My personal highlights from the collection have to be the lace-up Oxford shoes. From the more classic tan leather model to the edgier patent leather and skin models. I am also crazy about the Chelsea boots, which I wear non-stop during the winter because they make me feel so rock & roll.

Make sure to check out the Tod's No_Code micro site where you can explore the collection and check out the exclusive videos created for the new collection.
You can buy a selection of them both on the Tod's website and over at Mr Porter.

A few days ago I shared my fantastic pair of Tod's No_Code from the SS13 collection and I promised a post about the FW12 line. Here it is.
The new collection has kept the sleek clean lines that make the shoes so classic and so cool but they have all been given an upgrade by means of new colour and fabric. The new colour palette is very much in line with the FW12 trends – intense rich hues nodding to the autumnal colours of the forest. I think this new collection feels especially British because it brings together that urban feel of the shape and the countryside vibe from the colours.
As well as the classic lace-up model like mine, Tod's offers a desert boot and a Chelsea boot, which this season also come in some stunning dark pony skins.

Take a look at the video below to get in the No_Code mood!

Just in: Tod's No_Code shoes

IMG_2540 My 'Just in' posts were meant to reflect my new wardrobe additions as they happen but we will have to interpret the expression more loosely from now own given my incompetence when it comes to taking pictures of myself.
The lovely people from Tod's gifted me this pair of shoes from their No_Code SS12 collection earlier this summer and they have been the only non-sneakers I have worn all season. They are unbelievably comfortable and have this great casual/formal feel to them that makes them perfect for pretty much any occassion. The leather laces add quite a quirky touch and the slight bicolour platform gives you a bit of a lift, which, let's be honest, I can do with. I have got all sorts of great compliments for them and they are most definitely be coming with me into the new season.
Tod's has recently launched the FW12 line of No_Code, which I will be posting about in the next few days.
