Scott Disick wears Zara's Bomber Jacket

Ever since Kanye West joined the Kardashian family we've seen quite a change in his brother in law Scott Disick's style. He quickly transitioned from a very 80's literal yuppie influence (think 'The Wolf of Wall Street') to a very contemporary and more relaxed style, which I've become a big fan of. Unlike many other guys – this style is, in a way, a kind of uniform in LA – Disick's touch makes ripped jeans and t-shirts look put together and slick rather than lazy.

For one of his latest outings the (insert occupation here) paired a pair of light blue ripped jeans with his signature suede chelsea boots, which he wore with a loose black t-shirt and a bomber jacket. The khaki jacket with black contrast collar, cuffs and waistband in black is one of those staple pieces that feels very off-the-moment and that will age well in your wardrobe. And that's exactly why I bought the exact same piece a few weeks ago. Well, that and the fact that at a bargain of £40 from Zara I could hardly resist. Just In: Nike Roshe Run Khaki Sneakers

I've recently got back from my summer holiday and first visit (I know... shameful) to New York City. Seeing as I am trying to be a responsible young man I went with a mental list of things I wanted to buy that were cheaper in the States, just to make me feel a little better. The first of of purchases were these Nike Roshe Run sneakers in khaki.
I had been spotting this model for weeks on different websites online but was always doubtful when it came to buying them because they have such an awkward shape – in most pictures anyway. The truth is that, once on, they not only look extremely elegant and streamlined but they feel incredible. The mesh body and cushioned sole make them extremely comfortable but also light and fresh, as your feet can breath. To top it all off, the ribbed inside sole softly massages your feet as you walk. If you go for a classic colour, they become very apt city shoes that look modern and chic with a rolled up pair of jeans and an Oxford shirt.

An Exclusive Preview of the A. Sauvage SS14 Collection

It is so nice when designers decide to release their collections after the fashion week madness as it gives us the time to have a better look and really process what we see. Such is the case of A. Sauvage and his SS14 collection.
A few months back, I had the chance to meet Adrien Sauvage himself at his studio downstairs from his Maddox Street Store. Having been a fan of his line for a while, I was interested what he would be like in the flesh. As you might expect from his clothes, he is a down-to-earth guy, very cool, very relaxed. He's not one of those designers who can go on for hours telling you bs about his collection. Everything he told me about the choice of fabrics, colours or the cuts was said in a matter-of-fact kind of way.

For his SS14 collection, Sauvage continues to explore his personal heritage, which brings together his family's Nigerian roots but also their British upbringing during the 50's and 60's. It was in the early 50's that his father travelled from Nigeria to Scotland, where he was raised and took his studies in law.
This 'meeting of cultures' appears in the shape of British heritage cloths worn with sportswear-inspired jersey tops printed with scenes from the African Savannah.

These prints are one of the highlights of the collection. They are the work of German artist Nelson Crespo, who in his 'Eden' series manipulates different images to create surreal cut-and-paste imagery.
In contrast, Sauvage has developed his first tartan pattern, designed in-house. It brings together his signature 'Kente' print and his personal connection with Scotland.

SS14 is also the season when A. Sauvage is fully getting into the accessories arena with a full range of leather pieces from rucksacks (printed with Crespo's work), tote bags and card holders. But also with the debut of their first eyewear collection inspired in styles from the 50's.

If, like me, you're a fan you would also like to know that signature pieces such as Sauvage's biker and bomber jackets are still a part of the new collection in shades of the Scottish landscape-inspired colour palette applied on suede.

He's Fly: Justin Timberlake rocks khaki trousers

I have been a massive fan of Justin Timberlake ever since he left N'Sync and got rid of his curls. And then 'Future Sex / Love Sounds' came out and I also became a fan of his music. His venture into fashion with his brand William Rast wasn't too much of my taste but I appreciate a guy who cares about his style.
His personal style, though, is a lot better than what you'd expect looking at his brand. He's one of the very few people who can get away with the old low-jeans-and-tucked-in-shirt-look. He has also been making a lot of right choices over the last few years.

One of his last looks that I loved was this one above. I find it so hard to find the right pair of khaki trousers. If they're not high-waisted, which I can't wear, they're just cargo pants or they're slim with cargo pockets. I am also very particular about the shade of green. Justin's are a perfect fit –straight and tapered.
he paired them up with a plaid blue shirt –another spot-on choice for me. Navy and khaki together is one of my favourite colour combinations. You can just trow pieces like Justin's on and look effortlessly cool. I would have only changed Timberlake's leather boots with a nice pair of black suede high-tops like the Jimmy Choo ones below.

deers & khaki

I am very much feeling colour this winter season, which is extremely odd in me. Dark purple and light denim used to be the closes shades to bold colours I'd sport all the way through the autumn and winter. I strongly believe that the way you dress is linked to your mood. But this winter I'm not sure if I dress colourfully because I am happy or if I wear bright hues to give myself joy. In any case, I am really enjoying playing with musky colours and different textures. I wore this outfit yesterday on a little trip to "Little Venice" for a preview. It consisted of my new favourite shirt (a vintage denim find from Beyond Retro), my parka and my burgundy corduroy trousers. But the star of the ensemble was clearly my deer jumper. I bought it from Pepe Jeans some five years ago and it literally brightens my day up. I used to be requested to wear it at school because people loved it so much. It's incredibly soft, light and warm so it makes the perfect garment for this cold weather. It's also warm enough so that I don't have to wear a coat and I can play around with the colour of different jackets.
