Tom Ford
After all the red carpet hits signed by Tom Ford we saw last week I though it apt to take a look at the FW13 collection the designer presented a few weeks ago in London.
Even though the new collection is still very much quintessentially Tom Ford there has been a big change in proportions and fit for FW13. The designer has moved on from his more traditional looser fits or high waisted straight trousers to a slim, even skinny, silhouette. I personally find it a lot more flattering to the male body – it elongates the legs and narrows the waist making a man look taller and giving the impression of broader shoulders. This modern still somewhat classic fit combined with the beautiful checked flannels of the tailoring and the cuffed, slightly cropped trousers gives the collection an undeniable British flavour. It is one of the best collections we have seen from the designer and I just can't wait to see guys like Eddie Redmayne, Nicholas Hoult and Ryan Gosling rocking these new fits. Not to mention Justin Timberlake, with whom Ford is collaborating for his new album. What a treat.
